The 2020 Baltimore Ravens and the new NFL

This NFL year has started like no other. No preseason, no NFL Hall of Fame Game. All due to a virus that crept in the US and killed hundreds of thousands. The 32-man rosters were cut done from practice and scrimmages, not from games. 

Due to the virus, there will be no fans at M&T Bank Stadium. Only two teams, the Kansas City Chiefs and the Jacksonville Jaguars allow fans in their stadium. The NFL has a new brand campaign “It Takes All of Us” in which the league is committed to issues such as social justice and racism. For Week 1, all NFL sidelines will display the stenciled in words “End Racism” and “It Takes All of Us.” 

The Ravens started their own “cardboard cutout” campaign. Many fans had their picture posted on the cutout and placed in a stadium seat. The Ravens No. 1 fan, Mo Gaba, died recently from cancer. In support of him, many fans bought 575 cardboard cutouts and had Mo’s picture posted. Enough to fill section 146, the most visible section.
